Our local beach is just a few minutes away by car and a pleasant
half-hour walk. Praia de la Luz has a lovely clean beach and, whilst
English is widely spoken, it's unspoiled by the burger and all day breakfast
type of places that proliferate Albufeira. Sadly, when you are walking
along the promenade, it's hard not to wonder what happened to little Madeleine
McCann who disappeared from a villa here ten years ago. I guess we'll
never know the truth about that one.
We had walk along
the beach and promenade, then a lovely glass of rosé (or two) and an hour of
people watching. It's a hard life, but some ones got to do it.
