We have met many lovely people on our travels and this campsite is no exception. Our neighbours, Graham and Sue, and their neighbours, Pat and Dave have all been very friendly and hospitable. We've had some great evenings playing cards and games. Today the six of us packed picnic lunches and headed off on a cycle ride with an original destination of a beach some 12 miles away. Unfortunately, the route was on quite a busy road and the terrain was very hilly. Four of the riders had electric bicycles, which are a big help on the hills, but Angela really struggled with the long steep hills so we decided to stop at a lovely little bay called Praia dos Olhos de Agua, six miles away, instead. After coffee at a seafront cafe we found a nice spot on the beach where we could eat our lunch before cycling back. We took a different route back to camp which ended with a section going through lovely countryside and downhill to boot.
