There has not been much to report for the last week or so as Angela has been on one of her flying medical visits back to the UK, leaving Roland to await her return in the peace and quiet of Congenies. Angela having returned safe and sound, today we must bid a fond farewell to the Quaker Centre in Congenies, the garden of which has been home to us in our little caravan for the past four weeks. We are indebted to the many Friends who have made us so welcome, not least, Judy and Dave the resident wardens. We are also saying goodbye to France as we head for Vilanova i la Geltru, our first stop in Spain.
After a pleasant and uneventful trip, we arrived at Vilanova in glorious sunshine. The campsite is well connected with a bus that runs from the campsite into the town every twenty minutes and also a direct bus every hour from the campsite into Barcelona. The site has a lovely wellbeing centre with sauna, Jacuzzi and heated indoor pool, free for those camping on site.
We are situated on a shady pitch and have already made the acquaintance of a very friendly couple in the motor home next to us (Lesley and Bob). Opposite us there are two huge Winnebago type motorhomes, with pull out sides, that our little van would fit in three times over. These belong to two of the many couples from England who spend every winter, October through April, in Spain.
