Friday 5th August 2016 – Staufen

It’s pouring with rain today so we’re just chillin’ and listening to another audio book, Mark Twain’s A Tramp Abroad.  It’s about his trip to Europe in the late 1800s, and particularly Heidelberg and the Neckar valley,  and is tremendously funny.
Here’s a photo from last night’s oompah band concert at the campsite. 
This is the ‘Staufen Senior Band’, a title earned entirely by virtue of the age of the musicians, but there are worse things to do on a sunny evening that sit on a bench, beer in hand, listening to a free concert. 
Most enjoyable.
