We drove to the Quaker meeting in Brussels and managed to park in a side street just off Square Ambiorix where the Meeting House was easily found at number 50. It was another beautiful day and the square has a pretty park at the centre so we wished we’d brought our lunch. The meeting house is a tall, end of terrace building that doesn’t look that special from the outside but has some beautifully restored Art Nouveau features inside including stained glass, door furniture and handmade gold wallpaper.

The building also houses the Quaker Council for European Affairs and I wondered what the future of the QCEA will be once we’re out of the EU.
After meeting, we talked to Joanna and her daughter. They spent some time giving us directions to a shop we could buy a camera in and we were about to head off on this mission when they reminded us that all shops are closed on a Sunday. As we are leaving tomorrow, we’ll have to think again.
