Monday 25th July 2016 - Brussels/Luxembourg

Gert is a very helpful, friendly and hardworking guy. I was, however, slightly perturbed when I went to reception to pay at the end of our stay as the desk was unmanned but a large box was open on the desk with an a-z filing system of all the camper’s passports or CCI cards! I could easily have helped myself to the lot in the ten minutes or so it took Gert to get back from watering the plants.
Packed up and off to Luxembourg. When we arrived the campsite was closed for lunch (another thing we have to get used to, everything closes for lunch – even tourist information offices) so we waited outside the site.

There is a public wifi (Hot City) available with free across Luxembourg city. When we camp in England, the fact that there is no mobile phone or wifi access is always a bonus for me. It’s good to get back to nature and away from being permanently contactable. But on this trip whilst we’re away from the family for so long and want to keep in touch, the lack of connection is proving a problem. With no wifi, the launch (too big a word – probably release into the wild would be more appropriate) of the blog is certainly going to be delayed.
