We took another walk down to Praia de la Luz. It's such a lovely beach. We sat outside the beach-side cafe, enjoying the view, until it started to rain. Everyone dashed inside the cafe but there were very few tables. Luckily, a lovely English couple, Rachel and David, called us over to join them and budged up to make room for us. They bought a house here some years ago and spend six months here and six months (the summer) in the Cotswolds but they anticipate making this their full-time home in the future. Apparently, there is a large ex-pat community here.
We spent a very pleasant and interesting hour or so chatting with Rachel and David, who also gave us their top tips for 'must sees' whilst we're in the area. We will definitely be taking their advice and following this up.
