Today we took a trip along the coast to Vilamoura with Lesley and Bob. We first met Lesley and Bob at a campsite in Spain way back in November. They are spending the winter travelling in their motor-home and our paths have crossed several times at various campsites since then.
We took the little tourist train around Vilamoura, which included going up into the 'old town'. This was not, as we had imagined, the historical centre of the town but rather a large development of rather beautiful villas centered around a golf course. Admittedly, it may be that they are the oldest buildings in the town and we would surely like to stay in one of the villas.

The marina at Vilamoura is very attractive and the bars provide excellent opportunities to people watch.
