This was our second trip into Lagos after our brief visit on Saturday. This time we parked the car on the waterfront and followed the walking tour itinerary that we picked up from the Tourist Information Office.
Unfortunately we had forgotten momentarily that Monday is the day when many historic sites are closed. We had wanted to walk the wall but couldn't find any open entry points so had to make do with just viewing it from street level. Both of us think that Lagos is a nice place, yes it is touristy but it has a feel about the place.
We wandered back down to the town centre and stopped at a busy little café/bar where we whiled away an hour. It is all two easy just to sit back and let the world go by, especially when the bill for two beers and two glasses of wine is only €5.
In the evening we had a lovely meal at the carnival dinner at our campsite.
